Sherlock Holmes : The Movie
Since as long as I can remember I have loved Arthur Conan Doyle’s novels about the life and adventure of private detective Sherlock Holmes and his companion Dr John Watson.
Written and set in Victorian London when crime was not only rampant but dark and wretched, quality of life for many very poor and a the world was recovering from several arduous wars, seemingly always close to yet more...

2009 review
This year has gone past so quickly. I finished the 2nd year of my degree and began my 3rd and final.
I spent the first day of January 2009 in Edinburgh which was glorious, and then soon was back in Manchester, ready for spring term at university. I was not looking forward to it as I had been so disappointed by the start of 2nd year, and things stayed this way for months. Towards the end of May...

Poster development
Catching up..
Yesterday I had a catch up meeting with my tutor. Officially called a ‘Personal Development Plan’ meeting, it was more of a long chat. I didnt really know what to expect from it, this wasnt an assesment period, but it wasnt a review either so I didnt know if I was just going to talk about my work, or get some feedback about it.
It was a bit of both, including how well I figured I was...
Holden Gallery
I am now part of the curatorial team at MMU, specifically in charge of the new exhibition space created around the new Holden Gallery Cafe.
This space will showcase student’s work from all art and design degrees, alongside the main exhibits at Holden which is a great opportunity to get work out there to the public, outside of degree shows.
Hoping we get some great submissions for our first...
